Due to the pandemic and many PYOP studios across the country ordered to shut down, our industry, like all small businesses across the U.S., has lost about 30% of our studios. Yes, many have survived and a few even prospered. Either they were in states that did not order them to completely shutdown and/or due to entrepreneurial ‘can do’ spirits, they created pottery to go, canvas or clay to go, worked with organizations, created on line shopping and curbside pick ups, rearranged their layouts with dividers or other social distancing measures, worked out deals with their landlords, received grants and PPP’s, to name a few.
This page has not been updated this year. Some links may not be valid. We have not talked to everyone yet to find out how they are doing and if they are closed or will close soon. The next round of PPP may help some of the studios still open to stay open this year of 2021. Fingers crossed, prayers on-going.
